We are initially relying on the Fax, telephone or the regular post office / courier media or visits to our office to exchange personal information with clients and potential clients in terms of establishing a relationship. This will ensure that both parties have a paper record of the expectations and conditions each has of the relationships. This paper record will ensure mutual accountability.
STC will retain minimum record of transactions that may transpire between STC and our clients beyond two years. The information retained by STC will consist of Names, addresses and dates using STC and reason for using STC services. This kind of information will be used for internal research purposes only.
Any publications arising from the analysis of STC information will present
data in the aggregate. For example we may compare numbers of people receiving
STC services on waitlists in one province relative to another. These type
of analyses will be published on our website and possibly other health care
publications with no identification of individuals.
The actual medical records will be retained in the possession of the medical practitioners who are responsible for treating the patient. No medical records will be stored on STC premises longer than it takes to facilitate services between patient and attending physicians in India and Canada.
In the future and as the need arises we will facilitate on line registration.
